About Dumpling Chef:
Dumpling Chef is a thriving franchise chain specializing in Chinese dumplings and fast food. With a new store opening at Bayside Shopping Centre Melbourne, we are excited to bring our delicious, authentic cuisine to a new set of customers. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team as Full-time Team Members and Senior Crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook meals, dishes, and individual food items with a focus on quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Estimate food portions, monitor supplies, and manage inventory levels.
- Team Supervision: Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs and cooks.
- Kitchen Hygiene & Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and food service areas, including cleaning equipment and appliances.
- Order Management: Assist with food preparation, manage supplies, and handle food deliveries.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service, take orders, package food, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- POS System: Operate the ABACUS POS system (training provided), ensuring accurate transactions.
- Waste Management: Maintain organized workspaces, dispose of trash, and ensure proper kitchen hygiene.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Skills: Familiarity with operating a POS system (such as ABACUS) is a plus.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor for exceptional customer service.
- Flexibility: Ability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, as the store operates seven days a week.
- Language: Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate with customers and staff.
